Job summary

Mnzil in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a Senior Chief Accountant to lead daily accounting operations, ensure accurate records, and manage month-end and year-end closes.

You will work with leadership to strengthen internal controls, ensure IFRS compliance, and deliver timely financial insights; 4+ years of experience and a relevant degree are required. On-site, English preferred.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience including overseeing accounting operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations including AP, AR, GL and reconciliations.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports.
• Maintain the chart of accounts and proper transaction classification.
• Ensure IFRS, VAT, ZATCA compliance and local requirements.
• Manage cash flow reporting and support budgeting and forecasting.
• Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and stakeholders.
• Support ERP system implementation and improvements.
• Guide accounting team and review work quality.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.

As Chief Accountant, you will oversee accounting activities, ensure the accuracy of financial records, and manage month-end and year-end closing. You will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to maintain compliance, improve internal controls, and deliver timely financial insights.

What You’ll Own

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, general ledger, and reconciliations

What You’ll Bring

• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience overseeing accounting operations
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Saudi financial and tax requirements
• Solid experience in financial reporting, closing, and general ledger accounting
• Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems
• Ability to manage priorities, lead processes, and meet reporting deadlines
• Professional accounting certification such as SOCPA, CPA, or ACCA is a plus
• Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus)
