Job summary

Elegancia Mechanical Engineering Company S.P.C. is seeking a BIM drafter/designer to provide modelling and drafting support across projects. You will coordinate Revit models, create Revit families and CAD blocks, and manage model exchanges, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

The role requires 2+ years in Revit and AutoCAD, strong MEP knowledge, and familiarity with Navisworks, BIM 360, and 3ds Max. GCC experience is preferred; bachelor-level civil engineering is required.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of Revit experience plus two+ years of AutoCAD experience.
• Understanding of MEP/FP Systems.
• Knowledge of Autodesk Revit and related Building Information Modelling software.
• Solid understanding of legacy CAD applications and practices, particularly AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with Design Visualization applications such as Revit, BIM 360 (Cloud Rendering), 3D Studio Max and Navisworks.

Responsibilities

• Provide BIM modelling and design support.
• Coordinate and manage Revit models.
• Create Revit families and CAD blocks.
• Obtain work assignments from project managers.
• Review all work for completeness and accuracy.
• Use checklists for quality control on each project and submit work according to deadlines.
• Provide an accurate accounting of time spent on projects with descriptions for each time entry on a weekly basis.
• Complete printing and plotting requests.
• Observe professional ethics.
• Demonstrate proactive approach to learning of new digital design tools.
• Ensures compliance with the approved BIM Execution and BIM Scope Plans.
• Setting up project base files.
• Assemble composite design models for coordination meetings.
• Facilitate use of composite design models in design coordination/clash detection meetings and provides detection reports by the identification and resolution of all hard and soft collisions.
• Coordinate BIM file exchange and archiving of milestone submittals.
• Prepare plan section, detail drawings, create bill of materials, supports list, total station files etc.
• Perform file management functions such as posting models, downloading model updates, managing links & historic versioning.
• Create detailed field installation drawings & fabrication drawings.
• Create BIM Model (MEP model) up to LOD 500 and do clash detection for coordination.
