Qanoniah, Saudi Arabia's leading AI LegalTech startup, invites a Senior AI Engineer to join the team in Makkah to scale the AI Legal Assistant for top-tier clients. You will ship production features powered by LLMs, agents, and retrieval-augmented generation, focusing on Arabic legal content and high-quality results.

The role requires strong Python skills, experience with PyTorch, and hands-on with multi-agent patterns and tool use.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in AI/ML engineering focusing on LLMs, Generative AI and Agents.
• Proven track record of shipping production AI systems.
• Strong Python and modern AI frameworks (PyTorch, Hugging Face, vLLM, SGLang, TensorRT).

Responsibilities

• Build and ship end-to-end AI features powered by LLMs and agentic workflows.
• Develop multi-agent systems with tool use, planning, and autonomous task execution.
• Design and optimize retrieval pipelines tailored to Arabic legal content (full-text search, vector search, re-ranking).
• Fine-tune and benchmark foundation models for legal use cases.
• Integrate custom tools, skills, and MCPs into agent workflows.
• Ensure production quality: accuracy, latency, cost, and safety.

Qanoniah is Saudi Arabia's leading AI LegalTech Startup. Our AI Legal Assistant is the trusted daily partner for major enterprises and government entities across the Kingdom, helping them navigate complex legal landscapes with speed and precision.

The Role

We're expanding our AI team and looking for a Senior AI Engineer to help scale the next generation of our AI Legal Assistant. You'll ship production features powered by LLMs, Agents, and RAG to top-tier Saudi clients — working on one of the most rewarding domains in AI: Arabic legal intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and ship end-to-end AI features powered by LLMs and agentic workflows.
• Develop multi-agent systems with tool use, planning, and autonomous task execution.
• Design and optimize retrieval pipelines tailored to Arabic legal content (full-text search, vector search, re-ranking, etc).
• Fine-tune and benchmark foundation models (Qwen, OSS, GLM, etc) for legal use cases.
• Integrate custom tools, skills, and MCPs into the agent workflows.
• Ensure production quality: accuracy, latency, cost, and safety.

What We're Looking For

• 3–5 years in AI/ML engineering with strong focus on LLMs, Generative AI, and Agents.
• Proven track record of shipping production AI systems — not just prototypes or jupyter notebooks.
• Strong Python and modern AI frameworks (PyTorch, Hugging Face, vLLM, SGLang, TensorRT, etc).
• Hands-on with agent patterns (ReAct, tool use, multi-agent) and agent and provider SDKs.
• Solid experience with retrieval methods and vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus, FAISS).
• Familiarity with fine-tuning (LoRA, QLoRA), cloud AI services (AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, GCP, etc), and MLOps basics.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Makkah.

Nice to Have: Arabic NLP, legal-tech experience, MCP integrations, LangSmith/LangFuse.
