Job summary

Engie SA in Riyadh is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day plant accounting, ensuring compliance with IFRS and SOCPA. You will oversee monthly closings, prepare internal and shareholder reports, and assist in tax filing and audits.

SAP HANA implementation and cross-department coordination are key parts of the role. Ideal candidates hold a university degree in accounting with ACCA/CMA, 5+ years of relevant experience, strong English skills, and familiarity with KSA tax laws.

Qualifications

• University degree in accounting (ACCA/CMA preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a large power plant.
• Knowledge of IFRS and SOCPA standards; SAP HANA experience.
• Proficient in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day plant accounting per IFRS/SOCPA standards.
• Execute monthly financial close with the team.
• Prepare monthly closure and variance reports for shareholders.
• Assist in tax filing and coordinate with tax authorities.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, admin and HSE on finances.
• Maintain up-to-date Arabic accounting records in SAP as required by law.
• Liaise with banks, government officials, tax advisors as needed.
