Job summary

SIS Global in Riyadh is seeking an experienced SDN/SDS Infrastructure Engineer to lead design, deployment, and support of advanced software-defined networking and storage fabrics. You will coordinate with telecom teams to ensure high availability and security baselines, while delivering scalable data-center infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in enterprise networking/storage, Ericsson telecom exposure, and hands-on SDN/SDS expertise.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in enterprise data center networking, virtualization, and storage engineering.
Mandatory Ericsson experience with telecom platforms.
Strong hands-on expertise in SDN technologies such as Cisco ACI, VMware NSX-T, or OpenDaylight.
Solid practical experience with enterprise LAN/WAN routing, switching, firewalls, and load balancers.
Proven proficiency in SDS technologies including Ceph, Dell PowerFlex, or ScaleIO.
Professional availability for full-time, onsite employment in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, configure, and maintain SDN fabrics utilizing Cisco ACI, VMware NSX-T, or OpenDaylight.
Administer and scale Software-Defined Storage (SDS) environments including Ceph, PowerFlex, and ScaleIO.
Manage enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure, enterprise firewalls, security policies, and application load balancers.
Ensure seamless integration between virtualized network functions, storage clusters, and telecom core platforms (Ericsson experience mandatory).
Monitor network and storage performance, analyze telemetry metrics, and execute proactive capacity planning.
Troubleshoot complex data center connectivity faults, packet loss, storage I/O bottlenecks, and failover anomalies.
Collaborate with cross-functional IT infrastructure teams, cloud architects, and client stakeholders in Riyadh.
Ensure data center security baselines, disaster recovery protocols, and compliance standards.
Maintain infrastructure diagrams, runbooks, and configuration change logs.
Participate in on-call rotation for incident escalation and high-priority infrastructure restoration.
