Job summary

Majid Al Futtaim seeks a Sales & Distribution Manager for MAF Entertainment, Head Office, to drive theatrical film releases across KSA & Bahrain. You will forecast, book, plan releases and analyze performance to maximize box office results and ensure reporting accuracy.

You will lead partnerships with studios, oversee distribution tools and reporting, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliant, timely release execution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in film industry, media, sales or marketing, preferably at a managerial level.
• Strong knowledge of film distribution, exhibition operations and market dynamics.
• Excellent English and Arabic communication with ability to influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support film booking, release planning and distribution strategies to maximise box office performance.
• Analyze release performance and provide data-driven recommendations on screen allocation, formats, timing and revenue targets.
• Build partnerships with studios by sharing market insights and strategic recommendations.
• Own performance reporting, forecasting and post-release reviews with accurate reporting models.
• Manage studio systems, databases, dashboards and reporting tools to maintain data integrity.
• Monitor cinema programs, screen allocations and exhibitor performance; support localization and censorship.
• Coordinate with Marketing, Sales, Technical and Logistics for release readiness and execution.
• Act as key liaison between Head Office, local markets, exhibitors and studio partners.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Sales & Distribution Manager, KSA & Bahrain is responsible for driving the success of theatrical film releases through forecasting, film booking, release planning, and performance analysis. The role works closely with studios, exhibitors, and internal teams to maximize box office performance, ensure accurate reporting, and manage local censorship requirements and key stakeholder relationships.

ROLE PROFILE

• Support film booking, release planning, and distribution strategies to maximize box office performance across markets.
• Analyze release performance and provide data-driven recommendations on screen allocation, formats, timing, and revenue targets.
• Build strong partnerships with Studios by sharing market insights, performance analysis, and strategic recommendations.
• Own performance reporting, forecasting, and post-release reviews, ensuring accuracy and continuous improvement of reporting models.
• Manage and govern studio systems, databases, dashboards, and reporting tools to maintain data integrity and consistency.
• Monitor cinema programs, screen allocations, and exhibitor performance, while supporting localization, censorship, and film placement activities.
• Oversee operational readiness and execution of film releases, coordinating with Marketing, Sales, Technical, and Logistics teams.
• Act as a key liaison between Head Office, local markets, exhibitors, and studio partners to ensure alignment, efficient distribution, and successful release execution.

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of experience in the film industry, media, sales, or marketing, preferably at a managerial level.
• Strong knowledge of film distribution, exhibition operations, box office performance, and market dynamics.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic, with the ability to influence stakeholders and build regional partnerships.
• Advanced analytical and presentation skills, including strong Excel proficiency and the ability to translate data into business insights.
• Experience working with studio reporting systems, distribution tools, third-party agencies, and government entities is preferred.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, commercially minded professional who can manage multiple priorities, work flexible hours during major releases, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
