Job description

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned guest rooms according to hotel standards, which includes making the bed, dusting furniture, replenishing supplies, cleaning the bathroom, and vacuuming the carpet.
• Verify that all room items are in proper condition and functioning, and report any needed repairs to the Supervisor.
• Clean corridors and public areas around assigned guest rooms and maintain cleanliness of equipment and pantries.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel products and services to promptly answer guest questions.
• Respond to all guest requests in a friendly and caring manner, taking appropriate action or referring matters to the relevant personnel when necessary.
• Record relevant information on assignment sheets for record‑keeping and future inquiries.
• At the end of each shift, report special‑attention guests, unusual situations, and incidents that require follow‑up to ensure consistency and guest satisfaction.
• Verify the physical status of the room and inform the Order Taker of any discrepancies.
• Report lost and found items immediately to the Supervisor and coordinate with the Order Taker for retrieval.
• Provide turn‑down service to assigned guest rooms as per hotel standards, which includes turning down the bed, replenishing supplies, and cleaning the bathroom if needed.
• Help control guest and cleaning supplies to reduce costs.
• Deliver late check‑out and late service requested by guests, following hotel standards.
