Hitachi Rail in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Rolling Stock Maintenance Technician to support the Rolling Stock Team Leader with preventive and corrective maintenance on passenger vehicles and locomotives, including minor modifications. The role demands hands-on mechanical skills and a strong safety mindset. A diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering is required, with 3+ years in rail preferred. Under-floor wheel lathe experience is a plus.
Qualifications
Over three years of experience in the railway industry.
Experience with under-floor wheel lathe preferred.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Experience in shunting and operating engineering vehicles or locomotives is advantageous.
Responsibilities
Assist the Rolling Stock Team Leader with preventive and corrective maintenance and minor modifications on rolling stock.
Perform routine inspections, replace consumables, and carry out minor repairs.
Diagnose faults and replace components on site or in depot.
Follow directions from senior Rolling Stock maintenance personnel.
Implement and adhere to the Permit to Work process and LOTO procedures.
Carry out shift and emergency responsibilities as needed.
Turn the wheels on the under-floor wheel lathe as required.
Maintain safe work practices and strict maintenance schedules.
