Job summary

HanmiGlobal Saudi is seeking a seasoned Road Inspector in Riyadh to join our program management team. You will perform field inspection and quality surveillance of roadworks and highway infrastructure for a major development project, ensuring compliance with design drawings, specs, and safety standards.

Responsibilities include daily site inspections, material testing oversight, review of survey data, NCR management, and reporting.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
7+ years' experience in road/highway construction inspection or QA/QC.
Knowledge of road/highway standards (AASHTO/ASTM/Saudi standards).
Experience with materials testing procedures (soil, aggregate, asphalt).
Ability to read engineering drawings and surveys.
Familiar with QA/QC systems, ITPs, and NCRs.
Good English; Arabic is an advantage.
Proficient in MS Office and site reporting tools.
Valid driving license; willingness to work on-site in Riyadh.

Responsibilities

Conduct daily field inspections of road and highway construction activities to verify compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
Monitor and verify the contractor's material sampling and testing procedures for soil, aggregate, and asphalt in accordance with approved standards.
Review and verify survey and setting-out data for roadworks to confirm alignment, levels, and geometrics.
Identify and report non-conformances, defects, and deviations from specifications; follow up on corrective actions and ensure timely close-out of NCRs.
Maintain accurate daily inspection records, site diaries, photographs, and inspection checklists; prepare daily and weekly quality and progress reports.
Witness testing of materials and review test results against approved acceptance criteria.
Coordinate with the contractor's site engineers, QA/QC personnel, and survey teams to resolve field issues and ensure works proceed per approved method statements and ITPs.
Monitor compliance with approved traffic management plans and HSE requirements during roadworks.
Verify as-built records and support close-out documentation for completed road sections and associated infrastructure.
Liaise with Resident Engineers and the design team on technical queries, drawing clarifications, and design changes affecting roadworks.
Review contractor submittals related to road construction, including method statements, material submittals, and ITPs.
