Job summary

Client of Ben Khan in Riyadh region seeks an experienced radiology nurse to provide care in the Radiology Department, perform patient assessments, and review charts for CT and MRI procedures.

The role requires establishing IV access, managing contrast administration, monitoring sedated patients, and readiness to respond to emergencies within the Radiology setting. RN licensure and 2+ years in acute care are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; online degrees or diplomas are not accepted.
  • Current RN license in North America, Western Europe, or Australia/New Zealand.
  • Minimum two years of RN experience in a mid‑to‑large acute‑care hospital within the same regions.
  • Experience in CT, MRI, nuclear medicine, angiography, or ultrasound‑guided procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care in the Radiology Department, including patient assessment and chart review for CT and MRI procedures.
  • Establish intravenous access and manage manual and power injection of contrast.
  • Handle contrast reaction management and care of intravenous catheters (CVCs, Hickman, Port-a-caths).
  • Monitor sedated patients with pulse oximetry; assist and transfer GA patients to the Recovery Room.
  • Respond to emergency situations within the Radiology Department.
  • Assist radiologists with CT‑guided FNA and biopsies, and handle ordering of pharmacy and nursing supplies.
  • Perform recovery room assessment before and after general anesthesia, monitoring renal captopril study patients.
  • Conduct general X‑ray emergency response procedures and pre‑, peri‑, and post‑angiography patient monitoring with conscious sedation; scrub and circulate during interventional angiography.
  • Provide EKG monitoring and interpretation; conduct 24‑hour follow‑up on in‑patients after angiography and ultrasound‑guided invasive procedures.
  • Assess and insert intravenous access for PET, pediatric urgent care, and other nuclear medicine patients; monitor blood glucose and administer insulin per protocol.
  • Assist technologists with radioactive isotope administration and patient positioning.
  • Perform fluoroscopy procedures such as insertion of Foley catheters for VCUG and intravenous access for IVP.

This role works with a variety of patient types, including outpatients, inpatients, adults, pediatrics, emergency, and ICU patients.
