Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Work on multiple transactions and project teams from client development to execution.
• Develop and maintain standard or bespoke financial models.
• Use valuation techniques including DCF, comparables, and LBOs to support client advice.
• Coordinate preparation of marketing materials and transaction documentation.
• Work on ECM transactions and identify new business opportunities for Rothschild & Co.
• Coordinate with other advisers and internal teams across geographies; supervise junior members.
• Research industries to support transaction initiatives.

Overview of Role

We present an informed and impartial perspective to help our clients reach their goals through the design and execution of strategic M&A and financing solutions. We provide impartial, expert advice to large and mid-sized corporations, private equity, families and entrepreneurs, governments and sovereign wealth funds. We design and execute strategic M&A and financing solutions for our clients and act as a trusted partner, taking a long-term and independent view on the challenges they face. Our deep understanding of financial markets, the high volume of transactions we advise on, and our unrivalled network of industry and financing specialists in 40 countries, provide clients with a comprehensive global perspective to achieve their strategic goals. Our distinct capabilities allow us to achieve outstanding results for our clients and act as their most trusted advisers over the long term. Opportunity to continue to grow the business in Saudi Arabia, a market which is experiencing significant growth and has a lot of untapped potential. We opened our office over 2 years ago and now have over 10 investment bankers in Riyadh and with plans to continue expanding. Whilst the role will be based in Riyadh, the business is operated as a single Middle Eastern platform and therefore you will be working on mandates with the Dubai office as well as the Riyadh office.

Responsibilities

• Work on multiple transactions and with multiple project teams simultaneously on all critical aspects of transactions, ranging from client development and initial opportunity evaluation to transaction strategy and execution;
• Develop and maintain standard or bespoke financial models;
• Use a range of valuation techniques to support client advice, including discounted cash flows, trading comparables analysis, transaction comparables analysis, and LBO-based valuations;
• Coordinate and support teams in the preparation of marketing and transaction documentation including client presentations, information memoranda, offering documents;
• Work on Equity Capital Markets transactions, including IPOs Seek to identify new business opportunities for Rothschild & Co and new ideas for our clients that advance their strategic objectives;
• Coordinate and support the project team in coordinating all aspects of transactions, both internally and in coordination with other advisers;
• Research relevant industries to support the team’s transaction initiatives, optimising various sources of information;
• Supervise junior team members.

Education and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher Chartered Accountant / CFA (preferred)

Experience and Competencies Required

• Previous experience gained in a similar role in a financial advisory and/or banking organisation, including ECM experience;
• Proven quantitative and analytical skills to develop as well as review financial models and valuations with a deep understanding of financial statement analysis;
• Ability to provide direction and leadership in order to build a strong team environment and to build effective relationships between individuals, teams and lines of business, across different geographies;
• Arabic speaking and reading skills;
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills;
• Ability to build long-term, professional relationships that add value to the client and lead to the expansion of the business;
• Experience leading client presentations, managing projects and the execution of transactions;
• Ability to simultaneously manage several projects in an extremely fast paced environment in order to meet critical deadlines;
• Aptitude for ongoing personal and professional development;
• Knowledge of the relevant financial and regulatory environments that surrounds M&A.
