Job summary

Mindrift is seeking an AI Pilot – Bot Developer to design, build, and refine messaging bots for WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, Slack and more on Tendem. This freelance role offers flexible hours and a hybrid AI + human collaboration model, with emphasis on reliability and user-friendly flows.

You will work remotely 10–20 hours per week, manage API integrations, webhooks, and platform-specific constraints, and collaborate with Tendem Agents to deliver production-ready bots.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend, integration, automation, or bot development experience (required).
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build bots for one or more messaging platforms (WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, Slack).
• Design and implement conversational flows, dialogue state, and fallback handling.
• Integrate bots with LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic) for natural language responses.
• Connect bots to backend services, databases, CRMs, and third‑party APIs.
• Handle webhooks, rate limits, and platform‑specific message formats.
• Evaluate AI‑generated bot code for correctness, reliability, and error handling.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and recovery to keep bots healthy in production.
