Job summary

Philips is seeking a senior RTR Accounting Controller for the META region to own the integrity of financial records across entities and ensure timely close in a dynamic environment. You will manage complex accounting treatments and bridge local GAAP to IFRS while coordinating with global hubs and shared service centers.

You will drive internal controls, advise on accounting implications of transactions, and lead a distributed team, enhancing standardisation and accuracy across markets.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACA/ACCA, CA(SA), SMMM or equivalent).
• Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and controllership in a multinational environment across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
• Deep IFRS knowledge with practical judgement on complex treatments.
• Experience in emerging/high-volatility markets with currency restrictions and local regimes.
• Strong internal controls background and audit experience.
• Experience coordinating remote or distributed teams and shared service centers/outsource accounting operations.
• SAP proficiency and advanced Excel.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Arabic or Turkish knowledge is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly and annual close for the META region with trial balance review and group consolidation.
• Determine accounting treatment for complex transactions including revenue recognition with distributor channels, rebates and provisioning.
• Manage the statutory-to-IFRS bridge across local GAAP books, audits, and local reporting regimes.
• Advise on accounting consequences of proposed transactions and entity changes.
• Own the internal control framework and coordinate audits, closing findings timely.
• Drive standardisation and continuous improvement of accounting processes across the region.
• Lead and develop a distributed accounting team and manage KPIs across markets.
