Job summary

Job Type: Supervision & Execution of Roads and Bridges Construction – Ministry of Transport and Logistics (MOT)

Job Summary: Euro Group for Engineering Consultancy is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to join our supervision team for road and bridge construction projects with the Ministry of Transport and Logistics (MOT). The role involves overseeing all quantity surveying activities related to the supervision and execution of construction works for roads and bridges, ensuring accuracy, cost control, and compliance with project specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, review, and verify quantities, bills of quantities (BOQs), and cost estimates for road and bridge works.
  • Monitor and control project costs, including valuation of work done, variations, and claims.
  • Review and certify contractors’ interim and final payment applications.
  • Assist in the preparation, review, and negotiation of contract documents, variations, and change orders.
  • Coordinate with the supervision team to verify quantities on site and ensure alignment with design drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct site visits to confirm actual work progress and quantities executed for roads and bridges.
  • Maintain accurate records of measurements, quantities, and financial data throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support the project manager and Resident Engineer with quantity-related reports, forecasts, and cost analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with MOT standards, contract requirements, and relevant codes and regulations.
  • Collaborate with engineers, planners, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve quantity and cost-related issues.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in civil engineering projects, including at least 2 years in supervising the execution of bridge works.
  • Registered with the Saudi Council of Engineers at theAssociate Engineer grade.
  • Proven experience in supervision and execution of construction works for roads and bridges, preferably with MOT or similar governmental entities.
  • Native Arabic speakers are preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in quantity take-off, measurement, and preparation of BOQs.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards and specifications for roads and bridges in Saudi Arabia.
  • Preferred software skills:
    • Civil 3D
    • GIS
    • Primavera
    • Other relevant engineering and quantity surveying software
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with contractors and client representatives.
  • Good communication skills in Arabic; English proficiency is an advantage.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
