Job description
Quantity Surveying (QS) Engineer

The Quantity Surveying Engineer is responsible for ensuring accurate measurement, valuation, and reporting of all executed works in full compliance with contract requirements and approved procedures.

Key Responsibilities
1. Quantity Evaluation and Approval
  • Review and validate measured quantities with high accuracy.
  • Issue Quantity Survey Approvals (QSA) to support interim and final valuations in accordance with established procedures.
2. Material Take-Off (MTO) Evaluation
  • Review and verify material lists submitted by the Procurement Team.
  • Prepare Material Take-Offs (MTOs) based on BOQ items to ensure proper quantity control and minimize material wastage.
3. Progress Quantity Assessment
  • Initiate, assess, and document work-in-progress quantities.
  • Ensure alignment with approved Work Inspection Requests (WIRs).
  • Support the preparation of payment applications for the project owner.
4. Subcontractor Payment Management
  • Manage the full payment cycle for subcontractors, including initiation, verification, certification, and follow-up.
  • Ensure all payments comply with contractual terms and approved progress.
5. Variation Measurement
  • Measure and evaluate all variation items accurately in accordance with the approved method of measurement and contract provisions.
6. Progress Invoice Verification
  • Monitor, review, and verify all progress invoices.
  • Ensure compliance with certified quantities, actual site progress, and agreed payment milestones.
