Job summary

PepsiCo is seeking a Lab Clerk to assist the chemist in sampling raw materials and finished products, keep the lab clean, and prepare reports. This role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork and adherence to guidelines.

Candidates should hold a diploma (preferably in chemistry), have basic English, and be eager to learn and support development projects while maintaining reference samples and documentation.

Qualifications

• Diploma in chemistry and lab experience preferred.
• Minimum one year in a manufacturing lab (waived for strong attitude).
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Willing to learn and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist chemist in sampling of incoming raw materials and finished products.
• Maintain lab cleanliness and order.
• Distribute RM and finished product reports.
• Maintain files and reference samples for future audits.
• Assist chemist in supporting development projects.
• Help handle incidences related to RM and finished products and ensure proper labelling.

ResponsibilitiesJob Overview

• To assist chemist in sampling of Raw Materials and finished product
• maintaining lab cleanliness
• distributing reports
• maintaining files and reference samples

Responsibilities

• To assist chemist in acquiring samples of incoming raw material and finished products following sampling guide lines
• To aid chemist in inspection of raw and packaging materials including vehicles if needed and finished products analysis
• samples grinding lab ware readiness
• To file RM inspection reports weak link reports and distribute as appropriate after due signatures
• To assist chemist in maintaining lab cleanliness
• To assist chemist for meeting the requirements of development projects
• To assist chemist in keeping reference samples of RM and finished products
• To assist chemist in handling incidences related to RM and finished products which includes isolating and labelling of Hold pallets
• To implement sustain and participate in the continual improvement of the OH amp S Management System MS at area of responsibility in accordance to the legislations PepsiCo GEHSMS and relevant EHS standards ensuring proper controls for all hazards and risks associated with all activities areas are in place and OH amp S targets are achieved

Qualifications:

In addition to a diploma degree (preferably in chemistry) lab clerk must possess following competences:

• Minimum one year working experience in a manufacturing plant s lab. This requirement can be waived for a candidate with very good attitude and inclination for learning.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Willing to learn and work in a team.
