Job summary

Khazeen invites applications for a Quality Inspector to ensure gas cylinder production and yard operations meet safety and quality standards. You will perform daily inspections, record data, and escalate deviations to drive corrective actions.

You will collaborate with production, maintenance, and safety teams, support CAPA activities, perform tests per the quality plan, and ensure documentation and reporting align with ISO 9001 and HSE requirements in a busy plant environment in Riyadh.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality inspection, production operations, or industrial manufacturing.
• Knowledge of quality inspection standards and procedures for gas cylinder production and filling operations.
• Understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and related operational excellence principles.
• Knowledge of testing, calibration, and measurement equipment used in industrial quality control.
• Familiarity with production processes, preventive maintenance practices, and equipment reliability concepts.
• Understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and compliance requirements in industrial settings.
• Knowledge of data recording, reporting and documentation methods used for monitoring product quality and performance trends.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of cylinder production lines to ensure adherence to weight tolerances, body quality, leak test results, and rubber seal integrity.
• Verify the calibration and functioning of electronic weighing devices and testing equipment.
• Record inspection data in the quality system and flag deviations for corrective action.
• Ensure rejected or defective cylinders are properly segregated and documented.
• Collaborate with the production line supervisor to address quality issues affecting operations.
• Support root cause analysis for recurring quality problems and recommend CAPA actions.
• Communicate with maintenance and safety teams regarding nonconformance impacting quality.
• Maintain a follow-up log for identified issues until resolution is achieved.
• Conduct regular tests as per the quality plan, including leak tests, dimensional checks, and weight verification.
• Document all inspection findings, test results, and nonconformities using approved templates and systems.
• Prepare daily and monthly reports summarizing production quality trends, major issues, and recommendations.
• Share analytical insights and improvement suggestions with the Quality Manager and related departments.
• Ensure production activities align with SOPs and Quality Manual; monitor preventive maintenance schedules; escalate non-compliance or overdue maintenance.

To ensure the quality, safety, and compliance of all gas cylinder production and handling operations by conducting inspections, monitoring processes, and verifying adherence to established quality standards and procedures. The role is responsible for identifying and reporting deviations, coordinating with relevant departments to resolve quality issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to maintain high product and operational quality across the plant and yard activities.

Monitor and Ensure Cylinder Quality

• Conduct daily inspections of cylinder production lines to ensure adherence to weight tolerances, body quality, leak test results, and rubber seal integrity.
• Verify the correct calibration and functioning of electronic weighing devices and testing equipment.
• Record inspection data in the quality system and flag deviations for corrective action.
• Ensure rejected or defective cylinders are properly segregated and documented.

Coordinate and Resolve Quality Issues

• Collaborate with the production line supervisor to immediately address and resolve quality issues affecting operations.
• Support in root cause analysis for recurring quality problems and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Communicate with maintenance and safety teams regarding any equipment or process nonconformance impacting product quality.
• Maintain a follow-up log for identified issues until resolution is achieved.

Testing, Documentation, and Reporting

• Verify that maintenance actions are properly recorded and aligned with quality standards.
• Escalate any non-compliance or overdue maintenance issues that may affect production quality.

Yard Operations and Safety Compliance

• Monitor gas cylinder handling, storage, and yard operations to ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements.
• Ensure cylinders are clean, properly labeled, and stored according to the approved procedures.
• Participate in the inspection and evaluation of defective or returned cylinders from distributors.
• Record and report observations, safety violations, or process deviations to the direct supervisor for necessary action.
