Job summary

KONE is seeking a Quality Engineer in Jeddah to assure quality requirements, drive continuous improvement, and support the quality strategy. You will perform inspections, analyze data, and maintain records while promoting quality awareness across the organization.

The role emphasizes training, governance, and collaboration to ensure high standards are met and sustained in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 4–5 years of experience in Elevators & Escalators industry.
• Quality certificate ISO 9001 is recommended.
• Deep knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize quality performance improvement based on data analysis.
• Use continuous improvement methodologies to investigate non-conformances and determine root cause, identify corrective actions, and drive actions to closure.
• Create and analyze large datasets from multiple platforms and analyze trends.
• Support Quality Manager with target setting.
• Perform in-process or product inspections and execute measures, tests, sampling methods to validate requirements.
• Maintain and update quality records required by quality procedures.
• Share skills and knowledge about quality methodology and tools with the organization.
• Support the quality manager with internal and external audits.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective actions of Quality Improvement teams.

Quality Engineer actively builds and spreads quality awareness within the organization by giving training and sharing best business practices. S/he supports the Quality Manager with the deployment of KONE’s quality strategy, governance and goals.

What will you do?

Are you the one?

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 4 to 5 Years of Experience in Elevators & Escalators industry with a proven track record in a similar role.
• Quality Certificate ISO 9001 is recommended.
• Deep knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools
• Superb computer skills, including database management.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in best practices for testing, version control, and defect management.
• Professional certification, such as Six Sigma, CQE, or CQA.
• Excellent skills in computer (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
