Job summary

Catrion is seeking a QA & Safety Supervisor to monitor food safety and quality assurance across the unit and associated outlets. The role includes supervising production activities and reporting to the Site Manager, with responsibility to continually improve the Safety Management System (SMS).

The position requires coordinating QA with multiple departments, maintaining meticulous records, training new staff, and ensuring pest control and laboratory checks are conducted regularly.

Job Summery:

To monitor food Safety & Quality Assurance of the unit & associated outlets. To supervise & control the activities of production/operation and report to the Site Manager. To Maintain for Continually Improve the Safety Management System (SMS).

Job Description:

• Responsible for monitoring of food Safety & Quality Assurance activities in the department.
• Meticulously maintain all the food Safety & Quality Assurance records in the department.
• Coordinates with the Site Manager to sort out issues related to food Safety & Quality Assurance.
• Trains and evaluates new Quality Control staff and submits necessary reports to the Site Manager.
• Co-ordinates with different sections of the unit to sort out food Safety & Quality Assurance issues based on Daily Hygiene Report.
• Monitors and maintains pest control activities undertaken by the pest control contractor for the unit.
• Ensures that laboratory related activities viz. drawing of samples (food, water, handprints, cleaning control) are regularly conducted by Quality Controllers on‑duty.
• Investigates with respective departments on customer complaints and gives comprehensive and logical feedback along with corrective action taken to the Section head.
• Provides new hire training, refresher training, and on‑job training for all food handlers as per the training schedule.
• Liaises with the medical department for food handler’s certificates, staff posts vacation clearance, and staff infection control, etc.
• Carrying out follow‑up hygiene inspection of supplier’s premises and outlets as and when assigned.
• Prepares the roster to monitor and maintain 24‑hr coverage of food Safety & Quality Assurance activities in the unit.
• Coordinates with Site Manager regarding yearly department budget each year.
• Ensures optimum use of Stationery, Printing, Office supplies, Lab. Chemical, etc.
• Completes any other related tasks assigned by the Site Manager.
• Acts as Site Manager during his absence (during delegation period).
• Conducts the safety inspection & prepares the report.
• Conducts safety related training needs in the workplace.
• Maintains awareness of active and developing situations.
• Assists accident Investigation team for investigations.
• Conducts the on‑job training, TBT, safety brief awareness, etc.
• Inspects the site to ensure it is a hazard‑free environment.
• Verifies that all tools and equipment are adequate and safe for use.
• Promotes safe practices at the job site.
