Job description

The Quality Assurance Specialist ensures that all operational, technical, and management processes within the company with ISO 9001 standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements. The role focuses on the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS), with an emphasis on document control, process assurance, internal audits, and procedural standardization. within the set KPIs, agreed budgets and adopted policies and procedures.

Main Responsibilities
Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s QMS in alignment with ISO 9001 and applicable ICAO / GACA / EASA requirements.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the QMS through regular audits, reviews, and performance metrics.
  • Support certification and surveillance audits conducted by external authorities or certification bodies.
Documentation and Process Control
  • Maintain a controlled documentation system including policies, SOPs, manuals, forms, and records in accordance with the company’s document control procedures.
  • Ensure that document revisions, version control, and approval workflows comply with QMS and regulatory requirements.
  • Support departments in developing and standardizing operational procedures and process maps.
  • Coordinate document lifecycle management—creation, review, approval, distribution, and archival.
Audits Compliance
  • Plan, conduct, and report internal quality audits across operational and support functions.
  • Identify nonconformities and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) are implemented.
  • Maintain the audit schedule, audit checklists, and follow-up registers.
  • Provide assurance that company operational processes meet national and international standards, including ICAO Annexes, Doc 9859, and Doc 10066.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through root-cause analysis, KPI monitoring, and process performance reviews.
  • Facilitate lessons learned workshops and promote a culture of quality and accountability.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on QMS principles, SOP compliance, and audit readiness.
Driving Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities for enhancement in compliance procedures to improve efficiency and ensure consistent adherence.
  • Implement updates and process changes to maintain a high standard of regulatory compliance.
Policies, Processes and Procedures
  • Compliance: Conduct day-to-day activities while ensuring compliance to policies and procedures.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes considering leading practices, changes in business environment, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in quality management or compliance role within aviation, preferably within a company or airport operations environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, document control systems, and internal auditing methodologies.
  • Experience with SMS/QMS integration desirable (ICAO Annex 19, EASA Part-ATM).
  • Certified internal or lead auditor qualification (ISO 9001) required.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Quality Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
