Qualifications

• Minimum degree in Food Science or other science disciplines.
• Minimum 2 years working experience in food industry; must possess knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety systems (FSSC 22000).

Responsibilities

• Manage manpower arrangements and daily schedule for Online Physical Chemical Lab Technicians.
• Review KPI and performance evaluations for subordinates.
• Arrange external or internal training for subordinates as required.
• Lab management and equipment calibration: maintain calibration master list and due dates by factory number.
• Monitor and calibrate equipment against golden standards (weighing scales, viscometer, thermometers, timers, moisture analyser).
• Update calibration reports and liaise with suppliers to address gaps.
• Identify restock quantities and raise PR, review inventory levels for lab consumables, glassware and chemicals monthly.
• Coordinate with proficiency programs for dairy sample purchase and KPI testing, compile data for online submission before due dates.
• Oversee internal calibration programs and chemical disposal, retain sample management and storage tracking.
• Conduct risk assessments, ensure SOP/WI updates, and participate in lab audits and NC reviews.
