SMC International Placement seeks an Instrumentation Engineer to supervise installation, calibration, and testing of field instruments including transmitters, control valves and gauges. The role requires strong QA/QC discipline, familiarity with ITPs, NCRs and quality documentation, and coordination with commissioning teams and client inspectors.

The ideal candidate will review P&IDs, instrument indices and loop diagrams, ensure compliance with project standards, and prepare comprehensive

Qualifications

• Experience with instrumentation QA/QC processes and ITPs
• Knowledge of IEC/ISA standards in instrumentation
• Familiarity with installation, calibration, and testing of transmitters, control valves, gauges and accessories
• Ability to prepare inspection reports and ITRs and maintain quality documentation
• Experience in NCR handling and corrective actions

Responsabilités

• Inspect installation activities for field instruments against drawings and project specifications
• Verify instrument mounting, tubing, impulse lines, manifolds and supports
• Witness loop checks, continuity testing and functional testing of instruments
• Review P&IDs, instrument index, hook-up drawings and loop diagrams for accuracy
• Coordinate with commissioning teams, contractors and client inspectors

Roles and Responsibilities

Inspect instrumentation installation activities in accordance with approved drawings project specifications and quality standards Inspect installation of field instruments transmitters control valves gauges and instrument accessories Verify instrument mounting tubing impulse lines manifolds and instrument supports Inspect instrument cable laying glanding termination and cable tray installations Verify calibration certificates and instrument calibration records Witness loop checking continuity testing and functional testing of instruments Inspect instrument junction boxes marshalling cabinets and control panels Review P amp IDs instrument index hook-up drawings and loop diagrams Ensure compliance with approved Inspection and Test Plans ITPs and method statements Identify non-conformities and coordinate corrective actions Prepare inspection reports Inspection Test Records ITRs and quality documentation Coordinate with instrumentation engineers commissioning teams contractors and client inspectors
