Job summary

alfanar is seeking a Civil Quality Inspector/Engineer to monitor site activities and ensure compliance with drawings, ITPs, QC plans, and material approvals.

You will lead inspections for reinforcement, formwork, concrete, masonry, waterproofing, backfilling, and finishes; raise WIR/MIR and NCRs; review method statements and test reports; and coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, and consultants to close corrective actions efficiently.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of civil construction methods and quality control procedures.
• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete, formwork, concrete testing, and repair methods.
• Knowledge of waterproofing, masonry, plastering, tiling, screed, earthworks, backfilling, and compaction.
• Ability to read and interpret IFC/shop drawings, specifications, material submittals, and method statements.
• Familiarity with ITPs, WIR/MIR, NCRs, SORs, inspection checklists, and quality documentation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor civil construction activities for compliance with drawings, specs, ITPs, and project requirements.
• Conduct inspections for reinforcement, formwork, concrete, masonry, waterproofing, backfilling, finishing works, and structural elements.
• Coordinate and raise WIRs, MIRs, and testing requirements with the Consultant.
• Review and verify implementation of method statements, ITPs, checklists, and quality control plans.
• Identify defects and coordinate corrective actions; manage NCRs and SORs to closure.
• Coordinate with Site, Technical, Survey, Laboratory, and Consultant teams to resolve quality issues.
