Job summary

Aviagen in Saudi Arabia is establishing a new world-class poultry operation spanning farms, hatchery, feed mill, laboratory, and decontamination facilities. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in project management or major capital projects.
• Experience managing large-scale industrial, agricultural, infrastructure, or manufacturing construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, contract administration, project controls, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
• Demonstrated leadership managing multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and consultants.
• Strong commercial awareness and experience managing project costs and contractual matters.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project management software, scheduling tools, and reporting systems.
• Fluent in English.
• Preferred experience in poultry, agribusiness, food production, or industrial facility construction projects.
• Previous experience in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or GCC region.
• Familiarity with KSA construction regulations, permitting processes, and local business practices.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools.
• English is a must; Arabic language skills would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Report regularly to the Project Director and Senior Project Management Team on performance, risks, issues, and mitigation plans.
• Coordinate and manage relationships with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders for efficient delivery.
• Act as the interface between engineering disciplines and site teams, ensuring accurate implementation of designs and specs.
• Provide direction and oversight to site supervision and ensure consistent decision-making and execution.
• Monitor progress against schedules and implement corrective actions where needed.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, change orders, and cost control measures.
• Review and approve progress certificates, contractor claims, variation orders, and payments.
• Lead, coordinate, and support site supervision across multiple locations.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, project specs, quality standards, HSE and local regulations.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks while managing changes.
• Chair project meetings and ensure timely follow-up and closure of actions.
• Prepare and deliver regular status reports highlighting progress, risks, and key decisions.

Job Description Summary: Job Description: Aviagen is establishing a new world-class operation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), comprising farms, a hatchery, a feed mill, a laboratory, and a decontamination facility across multiple locations.

To support the successful delivery of this ambitious project, Aviagen has partnered with GPP, a specialist consulting firm with extensive expertise in the design, management, and supervision of poultry industry construction projects.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the project team and work closely with both GPP and Aviagen stakeholders throughout the construction phase.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Project Director, the Project Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, execution, and control of construction projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in accordance with the required quality and safety standards.

Acting as the Owner's Representative, the Project Manager will safeguard Aviagen's interests throughout all phases of the project, ensuring that business objectives, contractual commitments, and strategic priorities are achieved.

The role serves as the primary coordination point between the Project Director, site supervisors, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders, providing leadership throughout construction, commissioning, and final handover.
