Job summary

Siemens Digital Industries invites a Project Execution Lead to our Saudi Arabian team. You will develop and implement control-system solutions for water, oil & gas, and chemical sectors, coordinating software and hardware integration, and ensuring delivery to customers.

You will lead technical teams, manage subprojects, and collaborate with suppliers and global centers. A PMP-like mindset and OT cybersecurity knowledge are valued; travel up to 40% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics or similar field with 10–12 years in project and service.
• Experience engineering and commissioning Siemens DCS/SCADA – PCS 7 on major customer installations.
• Ability to lead technical tasks and manage subprojects within automation projects.
• Knowledge of OT cybersecurity concepts and deployment experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement control system solutions for projects per customer specs and standards.
• Create concepts to solve complex requirements for water, chemical, petrochemical, and oil & gas SCADA systems.
• Oversee software engineering, third-party integration, and hardware planning for control cabinets.
• Coordinate with suppliers, customers and global engineering centers; manage subcontracts.
• Perform tests, optimizations, acceptance, and delivery to customers; document results.
• Support bidding activities with the Bidding team and maintain project updates for management.

You’ll make an impact by:

• You’ll be able to develop and implement control system solutions for Control System Projects according to Customers’ technical specifications, standards, and engineering practices.
• You develop concepts for solving complex customer requirements and create project specifications including necessary clarifications with suppliers and customers, mainly for Water Distribution systems, Chemical & Petrochemical, Oil & Gas related SCADA (On-shore & Off-shore installations) and ESD systems
• In the engineering phase, you are responsible for the software engineering and integration of third-party systems, as well as hardware planning and monitoring of the production of control cabinets for the corresponding systems with the control of appropriate engineering partners and subcontractors in Saudi Arabia and abroad (Global Engineering Centers)
• Performing functional tests, optimizations, acceptance and delivery to the customer (internal tests, factory, integration tests)
• You handle the preparation, creation, review and updating of project documentation
• You support technical bidding and can collaborate with Bidding team
• You’ll maintain regular updates on project execution, team performance, and key developments, ensuring accurate and timely upward communication and escalation of relevant information to management.

Your success is grounded in:

• The individual should be a qualified professional, preferably Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical, Electronics or similar field) with minimum 10-12 years’ working experience with background from both operational business (project & service) and non-operational functions (bidding).
• Minimum 8-10 years’ experience of engineering & commissioning on Siemens DCS/SCADA – PCS 7 and have completed project cycle for major customer installations.
• You can take on technical lead tasks as well as managing subprojects within automation projects.
• You have an overview of the Siemens product range and its integration into automation and digitization solutions, third-party products as well as experience in product features from competitors for interfacing.
• Have sound knowledge of OT Cybersecurity concepts and have worked on OTCC deployments for customers
• Certification in Project management (e.g. PMP certification) is preferred
