Job summary

Confidential Government in Saudi Arabia seeks a senior project leader to oversee large-scale real estate developments from planning through handover, ensuring alignment with approved budgets, schedules, and quality standards.

You will direct multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with government authorities, contractors, and consultants, manage risks and change control, and deliver integrated infrastructure and buildings that meet strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related engineering discipline.
• 15+ years of experience in large-scale real estate development, construction, or project management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Experience overseeing multidisciplinary development projects including infrastructure, buildings, and facilities.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of project delivery, contract management, commercial management, risk management and project controls.

Responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of large-scale real estate development projects, ensuring the successful planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of all project activities in alignment with organizational objectives, approved budgets, timelines, and quality standards.

The role involves providing overall leadership across design, infrastructure, construction, project controls, commercial activities, and stakeholder management, ensuring seamless integration and coordination throughout all project phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all project activities, including planning, design, infrastructure development, construction, and final handover.
• Develop and implement comprehensive project execution strategies, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
• Direct and manage multidisciplinary teams, project managers, consultants, and contractors to ensure effective coordination and successful project delivery.
• Oversee the integration of all project components, ensuring alignment between design, infrastructure, construction, and development requirements.
• Monitor overall project performance, including progress, cost, quality, risks, and key milestones.
• Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government authorities, utility providers, developers, consultants, and contractors.
• Oversee project budgets, procurement strategies, contract administration, variation orders, and claims management.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, resolve critical issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain project objectives.
• Ensure compliance with approved master plans, technical specifications, contractual obligations, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Provide strategic leadership and direction to project management teams, ensuring effective decision-making and accountability.
• Report overall project progress, performance indicators, risks, and recommendations to senior management.
• Oversee project completion, commissioning, handover, and closeout activities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in large-scale real estate development, construction, or project management, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven experience in overseeing large-scale, multidisciplinary development projects, including infrastructure, buildings, and associated facilities.
• Strong experience in managing the full project lifecycle, from planning and design through construction and final handover.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of project delivery, contract management, commercial management, risk management, and project controls.
• Excellent leadership, strategic planning, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
