Job summary

FNRCO is seeking a Project Controls Engineer with expertise in Primavera P6 and Earned Value Management to support complex refinery or petrochemical projects. You will guide project controls, analyze schedule and cost data, and maintain WBS alignment with the approved baseline.

The role requires strong communication and reporting skills, with experience in EPC/EPCM environments and the ability to work with contractors to ensure accurate project controls and forecasting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Management.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in refinery or petrochemical projects.
• Strong hands-on experience with Primavera P6.
• Practical knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM).

Job description

• Provide guidance, direction, and specialized support for resolving complex project control issues.
• Calculate, analyze, report, and recommend actions on project data, including schedule, cost, budget, risk, quality, and safety.
• Develop project cash-flow forecasts.
• Integrate scope, cost, and schedule within the Work Breakdown Structure and maintain accurate mapping.
• Analyze, evaluate, and forecast current project status against the approved baseline schedule.
• Assess the effects of design or construction changes and schedule slippages.
• Report schedule status to project management, Sadara management, and the client, as applicable.
• Apply engineering, procurement, and construction terminology, concepts, and relationships.
• Develop and maintain critical-path logic networks and bar charts.
• Customize project control systems to meet specific project requirements.
• Accumulate and maintain historical performance data to support realistic future planning and forecasting.
• Guide and oversee EPCM & Construction contractors to effectively sett up their project controls & reporting structure.
• Pro-actively verify & ensure accurate reporting from other project contractors.
• Supervise and support lower-level project controls engineers or support personnel, when assigned.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with the position, as required.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Management.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in refinery or petrochemical projects.

• Experience in project cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow analysis.
