Job summary

Global Projects Services AG seeks a Production Supervisor to oversee commissioning, start-up and ongoing operations within oil and gas facilities. The role involves supervising field crews, coordinating safety procedures, and ensuring adherence to process and HSE standards.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years in production supervision in oil and gas, with strong leadership, risk awareness and communication skills, and a track record of delivering safe, compliant operations across phases

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Production Supervisor in oil and gas environments.
• Strong leadership and safety culture with hands-on plant knowledge.
• Experience coordinating commissioning, start-up, and operations activities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise commissioning, start-up and operations activities ensuring compliance with HSE and process procedures.
• Coordinate permits, risk assessments and safety walkdowns; liaise with vendors and subcontractors.
• Direct control room and field operators to maintain safe and efficient plant operations.
• Oversee maintenance planning, shutdown readiness and turnover to operations teams.

Job description

Mission

Supervise site activities such as commissioning start up and operation Ensure compliance of the activities for which he is responsible with the established process and HSE requirements while respecting the relative time Supervise all operations activities such as operation procedures preparation QA QC certification Fire Fighting System usage HSE system usage and Integrated Control System usage in the relevant field of interest Supervise maintenance and inspection activities and Spare Parts reliability for safe operation in the relevant field of interest Ensure safe and efficient commissioning start-up and operations of the process facilities and be proactive in maintaining high Standards working shifts and on call 24 hours Liaise with Vendors Subcontractors when on board

Tasks

During commissioning amp start-up Phase Ensure that all activities within his area of responsibilities are done in full compliance with the HSE requirementsActively contribute to Safety Walkdown Prepares incident reports and contributes to investigationsApproves work permits during his shift as per procedure to enable the execution of scheduled works Ensure the works are conducted in compliance with approved safety and quality standardsIdentifies reports and follow up risks within own area of responsibilityIdentifies and control hazards to avoid damage to equipment personnel and the environmentFollow up of mechanical completion and Commissioning planning status and activitiesPrepares and Issue shift reportSupervises the Pre-Commissioning Commissioning amp Start-up activities according to the approved operating proceduresSupports Licensor Vendors at Site in order to meet specified Commissioning amp Start-up targetsTakes lead in preparing the operators for Commissioning Start-up and normal operation through extensive training and tasks Timely report any gaps that need to be bridgedMakes decision for stopping equipment based on experience and abnormal situations

During Operations Phase

Direct work with Control Room CR Operator Production Operators Laboratory TechnicianEnsure promote safety awarenessMaintain clear production history of process operations equipment informing Production SuperintendentReport deficiencies malfunctions to Production Superintendent and propose solutions if anyEnsure all plant is operated safely in accordance with Company Client proceduresAct as Permit to Work Co-ordinator when requiredKnow emergency response actions duties required in emergency abnormal situation as per Emergency Response ProcedurePrepare plant for intrusive maintenancePrepare process operating procedures guidesMonitor controls all process equipment via control system in the CCRKnow understand actions required to maximize safety and minimize commercial lossEnsure proper handover during shift change crew changeHave understanding of chemical injection systems with regard to product specification hydrate wax formationDo daily management of production plant maintenance general housekeeping of the Process Deck and preservation of the Process Area by dedicated teamHave other responsibilities as delegated by the Superintendent
