Job summary

FlyAkeed seeks an experienced Product Design Leader to define the design vision and strategy across our travel platform. You will mentor designers, create scalable design systems, and collaborate with Product and Engineering to deliver exceptional user experiences.

This role blends hands-on design with leadership to drive quality and design excellence across the company in a fast-paced Riyadh-based team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Product Design or related field.
• Proven experience leading projects or mentoring designers.
• Strong portfolio showing end-to-end product design for web and mobile.
• Expertise in Figma, prototyping, interaction design, design tokens and design systems.
• Ability to balance user needs, business goals and technical constraints.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, Tailwind, React) and collaboration with engineers.
• Experience with AI-powered design-to-code workflows (Codex, Cursor, Claude Code).
• Hands-on with Storybook and design-quality review across development process.
• Excellent communication, leadership, presentation, and stakeholder management.
• Experience working in Agile product teams.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Product Design Led to define the design vision, strategy, and execution across our products. You will lead end-to-end product design, mentor designers, establish scalable design systems, and work closely with Product and Engineering to deliver exceptional user experiences.

This role combines hands-on product design with leadership, driving both product quality and design excellence across the company.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Product Design, UX/UI Design, or a related role.
• Proven experience leading projects or mentoring designers.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design for web and mobile applications.
• Expertise in Figma, prototyping, interaction design, design tokens and design systems.
• Strong product thinking with the ability to balance user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, Tailwind css, React) and the ability to communicate effectively with engineers.
• Experience with AI-powered design-to-code workflows, including tools such as Codex, Cursor, or Claude Code.
• Hands-on experience with Storybook.
• Comfortable reviewing implementation, contributing to design quality in code, and collaborating throughout the development process.
• Excellent communication, leadership, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in Agile product teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience designing AI-native products or developer tools.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design.
• Experience with product analytics and experimentation.
• Basic frontend development experience.Passion for emerging AI technologies and modern product development workflows.
