Job summary

KBR is seeking a Principal Electrical Design Engineer with extensive experience in substations, transmission and distribution systems for Oil & Gas, hydrocarbon, and infrastructure projects. Candidates should have a minimum of 15 years in the field and proven leadership of large engineering teams.

Responsibilities include leading 10–20 engineers, developing work plans, performing electrical studies, and delivering on-schedule, within-budget design solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering; 15+ years in Oil & Gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, offshore, or infrastructure industries.
• Leads large teams of electrical engineers and designers.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 10 to 20 electrical engineers and designers.
• Develop discipline work plans and estimates.
• Perform/check electrical systems studies (e.g., ETAP).
• Prepare work-hour estimates and equipment sizes/specifications.
• Perform/check power systems analyses and ensure design integrity.
