Responsibilities
  • Maximize sales volume, minimize stales, achieve distribution targets, implement agreed merchandising standards, collect accounts receivable, and maintain high levels of customer service.
  • Provide the supervisor with the latest market information to develop new sales opportunities.
  • Attend training courses designed to improve professionalism and customer service.
  • Complete a daily debriefing with the supervisor.
  • Sell the full range of products to an agreed list of customers; sales measured against previously agreed targets; stales kept below the agreed target.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction through proper call frequencies and daily route planning.
  • Carry out daily and weekly vehicle checks; maintain the sales vehicle in a clean, roadworthy condition and report defects promptly.
  • Supply ready‑to‑ship customer orders on time; maintain individual customer stock levels to minimize out‑of‑stock problems.
  • Implement agreed in‑store merchandising; coordinate with the supervisor and merchandiser as needed.
  • Advise the supervisor of any relevant competitor activity in the service area.
  • Daily reconciliation of all cheques, cash, and credit sales.
  • Ensure staff are neatly groomed and presentable at all times.
  • Maintain a high standard of driving and obey all driving regulations.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) will be used to measure performance; failure to meet required results may lead to disciplinary action.
