Datamatics-Global-Services-Ltd is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to support on-premises data platform installation, configuration, and operation across dev, QA, and prod environments.

You will focus on infrastructure setup, platform administration, security integration, and reliability, with hands-on work on MinIO, Iceberg, Starburst/Dremio, Spark, and Informatica in a highly secured setup.

Formación

• 5–10 years of platform engineering experience in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on with on-premises data platforms and security integration.
• Experience deploying and operating a data lakehouse on-premises.

Responsabilidades

• Install, configure, and administer data platform components on-premises.
• Deploy and manage MinIO Object Storage and Iceberg-based lakehouse.
• Install and optimize Starburst and/or Dremio for data virtualization and queries.
• Deploy and support Apache Spark clusters and processing services.
• Install and manage Informatica components and integrate with the ecosystem.
• Configure Development, QA, and Production environments.
• Integrate platform with IAM, PAM, AD/LDAP, SSO, and RBAC.
• Implement Git-based DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Monitor, back up, recover, and ensure operational readiness.
• Collaborate with infra, security, and app teams for stability and performance.

Job Description – Platform Engineer

Job Title: Platform Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to support the installation, configuration, integration, and operationalization of an on-premises modern data platform. The role will focus on infrastructure setup, platform administration, security integration, environment management, and platform reliability across Development, QA, and Production environments.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience deploying enterprise data platforms in highly secured environments, with strong troubleshooting, operational support, and infrastructure management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and administer data platform components in an on-premises environment.
• Deploy and manage MinIO Object Storage and Apache Iceberg-based data lakehouse architecture.
• Install, configure, and optimize Starburst and/or Dremio platforms for data virtualization and querying.
• Deploy, administer, and support Apache Spark clusters and processing services.
• Install, configure, and manage Informatica components and ensure seamless integration with the platform ecosystem.
• Configure and maintain Development, QA, and Production environments.
• Integrate platform components with enterprise security services, including:
  • Identity & Access Management (IAM)
  • Privileged Access Management (PAM)
  • Active Directory / LDAP
  • Single Sign-On (SSO) and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
• Implement and support Git-based DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Manage monitoring, logging, backup, disaster recovery, and operational readiness processes.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure platform stability, availability, and performance.
• Troubleshoot deployment, configuration, integration, and connectivity issues across the platform stack.
