Job summary

Datamatics Technologies LLC seeks an experienced Platform Engineer to install, configure, and operate an on-premises modern data platform in Saudi Arabia. You will focus on infrastructure setup, platform administration, security integration, and reliability across development, QA, and Production environments.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience deploying enterprise data platforms in secured environments, with strong troubleshooting and infra management capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and managing on-prem data platforms.
• Hands-on expertise with MinIO, Iceberg, Spark, and Informatica.
• Strong knowledge of IAM, PAM, AD/LDAP, SSO, and RBAC.
• Proven ability to deploy Git-based CI/CD and monitoring stacks.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and administer on-prem data platform components.
• Deploy and manage MinIO, Iceberg-based data lakehouse.
• Configure Starburst and/or Dremio for data virtualization.
• Operate Apache Spark clusters and related services.
• Ensure integration with security services and IAM/PAM.
• Support CI/CD, monitoring, backup, and DR processes.
• Collaborate with infra, security, and app teams for stability.
• Troubleshoot deployment, configuration, integration, and connectivity.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to support the installation, configuration, integration, and operationalization of an on-premises modern data platform. The role will focus on infrastructure setup, platform administration, security integration, environment management, and platform reliability across Development, QA, and Production environments.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience deploying enterprise data platforms in highly secured environments, with strong troubleshooting, operational support, and infrastructure management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and administer data platform components in an on-premises environment.
• Deploy and manage MinIO Object Storage and Apache Iceberg-based data lakehouse architecture.
• Install, configure, and optimize Starburst and/or Dremio platforms for data virtualization and querying.
• Deploy, administer, and support Apache Spark clusters and processing services.
• Install, configure, and manage Informatica components and ensure seamless integration with the platform ecosystem.
• Configure and maintain Development, QA, and Production environments.
• Integrate platform components with enterprise security services, including:
  • Identity & Access Management (IAM)
  • Privileged Access Management (PAM)
  • Active Directory / LDAP
  • Single Sign-On (SSO) and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
• Implement and support Git-based DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Manage monitoring, logging, backup, disaster recovery, and operational readiness processes.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure platform stability, availability, and performance.
• Troubleshoot deployment, configuration, integration, and connectivity issues across the platform stack.
