Job summary

ACWA seeks a Plant General Manager to lead safe, reliable operations and optimize both power generation and water desalination assets. You will oversee operations, maintenance, HSSE, and stakeholder engagement to meet contractual and financial targets.

The role requires directing large teams, driving continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and delivering high performance across plant KPIs and budgets.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large-scale power generation and/or water assets.
• Strong ability to drive performance, reliability, and cost optimization.
• Excellent leadership and collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead all plant operations and maintenance to ensure safe, reliable performance.
• Drive asset availability, production efficiency, and long-term reliability.
• Provide technical leadership for troubleshooting and performance improvements.
• Oversee plant modifications while upholding safety and standards.
• Develop operational strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Prepare reports for senior leadership and board-level stakeholders.
• Manage budgets, financial performance, and cost control.
• Mentor multi-disciplinary teams and drive workforce planning.
