We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to manage project scheduling, progress monitoring, and cost control for construction projects. The role involves close coordination with project teams, site monitoring, risk identification, and ensuring timely and cost-effective project delivery in line with approved plans and specifications.

The Planning Engineer will be responsible for overseeing project planning, scheduling, and resource management to ensure successful project execution.
Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Scheduling
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules covering tasks, milestones, and deliverables.
- Prepare execution plans in coordination with project managers, architects, engineers, and stakeholders.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and technical documents to identify risks, constraints, and opportunities.
- Progress Monitoring & Reporting
- Track project progress against approved schedules and identify critical activities and delays.
- Prepare and circulate weekly and monthly progress reports, including corrective and mitigation measures.
- Support project meetings by providing accurate schedule updates and recommendations.
- Site Coordination & Monitoring
- Conduct regular site visits to verify actual progress and compliance with approved drawings and plans.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and external parties to ensure timely availability of manpower, materials, and equipment.
- Identify discrepancies between planned and actual progress and recommend corrective actions.
- Resource & Cost Control
- Perform resource planning and optimization for manpower, machinery, and materials.
- Monitor project costs by tracking expenditures against budgets.
- Identify opportunities for cost control and efficiency improvement.
- Process Improvement
- Collaborate with project teams to improve planning, reporting, and execution processes.
- Support implementation of best practices to enhance project efficiency and delivery effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
Required Skills
- Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Good understanding of construction sequencing, resource planning, and cost monitoring.
- Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills.
- Ability to work closely with site and project teams.
