Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Process Monthly Payroll: 60%.
  • Review earnings details: missed punches, time sheets, sick/holiday pay, payroll anomalies.
  • Include tips/commissions/service charges in payroll.
  • Prepare full monthly payroll reports for audits.
  • Compile payroll packets for HRD/DOF/GM approval.
  • Create/maintain Payroll Checklists, SOPs, and documents.
  • Train new HODs/managers on payroll processing.
  • Audit system reports for accuracy.
  • Post month-end payroll journals.
  • Prepare payroll accrials and post to GL.
  • Reconcile payroll balance sheet accounts.
  • Ensure timely GOSI/WPS reporting and legal compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with KSA labour/payroll laws.
  • Send labor analysis reports at least twice weekly; provide commentary.
  • Review leased labor vs business volume and forecast/budget.
  • Reconcile leased labor invoices with timesheets.
  • Attend month-end P&L review meetings with payroll spend analysis.
  • Hold bi-monthly Labor Meetings; track action items.
  • Own labour/payroll forecasting and budgeting with HODs/EC.

Job Title: Paymaster – Health Resort Amaala

FUNCTION DEFINITION AND MISSION

The team is seeking their Paymaster who will be responsible for not just leading the resort’s payroll operations – but also adding value to managing the largest cost of the business, at of one of it’s kind longevity resort in the GCC region and in supporting the property’s effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

RESPONSABILITES
  • Process Monthly Payroll: 60%
  • Review earnings details for:
    • o Missed punches
    • o Manual timesheet corrections, ensuring appropriate documentation is kept on file
    • o Sick/Holiday pay
    • o Payroll anomalies for salaried employees
  • - Review all tips/commissions/service charges/other pay to include them accurately into payroll cycle
  • - Diligently prepare the full set of monthly payroll reports in compliance with audit requirements
  • - Compile payroll packet for approval by HRD, DOF and GM
  • - Own, create and maintain Payroll Checklists, SOPs and instructional documents for payroll process
  • - Train new HODs/managers on payroll processing and expectations
  • - Audit system reports to ensure accuracy
  • - Post month-end payroll journals
  • - Prepare monthly payroll accruals (incl. leased labour) and post to GL
  • - Take ownership to reconcile all payroll related balance sheet accounts
  • - Ensure timely reporting and submission of GOSI, WPS
  • - Ensure property is strictly adhering to KSA labour and payroll laws/regulations
  • Reporting and Analysis: 40%
    • - Send out labor analysis reports minimum of 2 times per week, with commentary
    • - Review leased labor and analyse effectiveness of staffing:
      • o Versus Business Volume; and
      • o Versus Forecast/Budget
    • - Reconciliation of leased labour invoices with internal timesheets records and other supporting – ensuring accuracy & completeness
    • - Attend month-end P&L review meetings with analysis on payroll spend and guidance to HODs/managers on areas of focus
    • - Hold bi-monthly Labor Meetings
      • o Review with EC and HODs pacing on payroll spend and elasticity based on revenue changes
      • o Maintain notes from meetings and follow up on items as necessary
    • - Taking ownership of labour/payroll forecasting and budgeting across departments, in collaboration with HODs and EC
EDUCATION
  • · Minimum Bachelors’ level education in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or equivalent
  • · Accounting professional membership such as CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent (highly desirable)
  • · SOCPA holder or eligible to apply for membership (required)
QUALIFICATIONS
  • · 3 to 5 years of hotel finance management experience
  • · Experience with Payroll (required) and General Ledger (highly desirable)
  • · Experience with forecasting and budgeting (highly desirable)
  • · Pre-opening experience (highly desirable)
