Career Land Center is seeking an experienced Pastry Sous Chef to support pastry and bakery operations for an F&B company in Kuwait. The role involves supervising production, ensuring high-quality pastry items, and assisting with planning and events across multiple outlets.

The candidate will support the Executive Pastry Chef, maintain strict hygiene standards, and manage stock, portion control, and cost efficiency in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Relocation to Kuwait is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Pastry Sous Chef or similar role.
• Experience with pastry, bakery, desserts, cakes and chocolates.
• Experience in bulk production and multi-outlet support.
• Strong team supervision, communication, and training skills.
• Good food cost control, inventory, portion control, wastage reduction.
• Willingness to relocate to Kuwait.

Responsibilities

• Support the Executive Pastry Chef in managing daily operations.
• Supervise pastry production across pastries, cakes, desserts, and bakery items.
• Ensure products meet company standards for taste, quality, and presentation.
• Assist with production planning, mise en place, stock rotation, and service readiness.
• Guide and train junior pastry staff.
• Monitor food cost, wastage, and portion control.
• Maintain hygiene, HACCP, and kitchen safety compliance.
• Lead pastry operations in the Executive Pastry Chef's absence.
