A leading healthcare provider in Taif, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a PICU Consultant to guide and deliver expert care for critically ill children. The successful candidate will oversee the pediatric intensive care unit and collaborate with diverse teams to enhance patient care standards. They will also participate in training residents and provide a consultative service while fulfilling administrative responsibilities. A minimum of 3-4 years post-Board/Fellowship experience in PICU is required, along with relevant board certifications and training.

Job Title: PICU Consultant

SHORT DESCRIPTION

An Excellent opportunity to join as PICU Consultant for one of the most prestigious and top tier leading Hospital in Taif, Saudi Arabia

JOB SUMMARY

Guide the pediatric intensive care unit as a pediatric critical care consultant, delivering expert care for critically ill children, leading the development of specialized pediatric critical care services, and collaborating with teams to ensure the highest level of care for pediatric patients. You will work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care to our patients.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide high-quality PICU care to patients in this area of medicine.
  • Provide consultative service as requested.
  • Supervise fellows, staff/assistant physicians, and residents.
  • Actively participate in the training and teaching of residents and fellows in his area of expertise and participate in research activities.
  • Participate in committees and other administrative functions as needed.
  • Perform special procedures as privileged.
  • Follow all hospital-related policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education
  • Graduate from a medical school of good standing.
  • Completion of required period of training in PICU
  • Saudi Arab or American /European Board Certification or equivalent.
  • Membership and/or Fellowship status in America and/or Europe or their equivalent and fulfilling the criteria for the consultant as required
  • A certificate recognized by the Saudi commission is a must.
  • Dataflow is a must.
Professional Experience
  • Min. 3-4 years Post Board/Fellowship in PICU.
  • A registered member of the Saudi Board Council
Language
  • Proficiency in English; additional proficiency in Arabic may be beneficial.
