Job summary

NexTech Solutions in Australia seeks an experienced Operator Technician to oversee Operations, Maintenance and Sustainment for ESSM and related security systems, ensuring 24-hour functionality and coordinating tests and alarms.

Candidates should have extensive US military aviation/security background, IT troubleshooting skills, Cisco networking knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years total experience in military aviation munitions, logistics, security or supply.
• Basic IT asset operability and connectivity degradation troubleshooting methods.
• Working knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/Outlook/SharePoint).
• Strong understanding of military protocol, discipline, and customer support skills.
• Extensive USAF or other US Military aviation/security service experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee OMS services for ESSM hardware, installations, and network connectivity.
• Manage system maintenance, tests, and alarm annotation.
• Provide support for in-country mission-related activities.
• Train ESSMs on security and video management systems.
• Collaborate with teams and communicate in fast-paced environments.
• Maintain Master Station Log and ensure 24-hour functionality.
• Assist with corporate and daily administrative duties as directed.

Job description

The Operator Technician will be responsible for oversite of all Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment (OMS) services including but not limited to hardware, installations, servicing stable and secure LAN/WAN connectivity, and application delivery to support the Electronic Security Systems Monitoring (ESSM) at Al Nakhla Compound, Saudi Arabia. As an ESSM Operator and Technician you will provide daily support to ensure 24-hour functionality, schedule functional tests, and annotate any alarms and/or discrepancies with the security system. The Operator and Technician will also support other mission-related activities that may arise in-country.

Key Responsibilities

• Extensive USAF or other US Military aviation /security service managing the diversity and complexity of munitions / logistics / supply systems and security related programs
• Be proficient in Bosch VMS Version 5, VICADS and Vindicator security and video management systems
• Operate, maintain, and sustain component replacement and repair activities on the security and video management systems
• Train both USG ESSMs and RSAF ESSMs on security and video management systems
• Work collaboratively or independently and communicate effectively in a fast-paced multi-disciplined environment
• Provide escort duties as required in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and to/from the United States
• Keep a Master Station Log Function as an overall team member to accomplish all tasks and USMTM mission
• Achieve and maintain a minimum score of 90% on all training qualifications
• Assist with corporate and daily administrative duties as directed Ensure 24-hour functionality, schedule functional tests and annotate any alarms and/or discrepancies with the security system
• Conduct functional quarterly exercises and requirements designed to test system operational capability
• Conduct system and component maintenance
• Ensure RSAF secure storage facilities and security procedures meet USG standards Provide support on other mission related activities that may arise in-country

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must possess and maintain an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance
• An Iqama visa is required for this position. The selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Iqama in compliance with Saudi labor and immigration regulations.

Required Skills, Experience & Abilities

• Minimum of 10 years (or equivalent work experience total) in the areas of military aviation munitions / logistics / security / supply
• Basic IT asset inoperability and connectivity degradation troubleshooting methods
• Working knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, and firewall Microsoft Office Suite (at a minimum Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)
• Candidate should have a strong understanding of military protocol and discipline along with strong customer support skills
• Extensive USAF or other US Military aviation /security service

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with working on military installations overseas
