Job summary

Abis is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with Finance/Accounts background and 6-8 years of costing and budgeting experience in oil & gas shutdown/turnaround projects. The role requires ERP proficiency, preferably with Microsoft Dynamics AX 365, and a master’s degree in engineering or an MBA is a plus.

The position focuses on organizing and monitoring project costs, reporting forecasts, and advising management on corrective actions to keep expenditures aligned with approved budgets.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of costing and budgeting experience in oil & gas shutdown/turnaround projects.
• ERP systems experience, especially Microsoft Dynamics AX 365.
• Advanced degree is a plus (Engineering MBA).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and update cost estimates to keep projects within budgets.
• Analyze scope, quantities and cost data between forecasts and budgets.
• Coordinate cost control with HR, payroll, accounting and finance.
