Extendicare Maple View Home in Sault Ste. Marie, ON seeks an Assistant Director of Care to lead the nursing department, mentor staff, and drive quality improvements across resident care. The incumbent will ensure compliance with MOH LTC Home legislation while overseeing safety and performance in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Minimum three years in long-term care; management experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of geriatric clinical issues, infection control, adult education and quality improvement.
• RAI-MDS knowledge is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist DOC with nursing dept quality improvement, risk management, data collection and reports.
• Lead best practice and risk management initiatives related to resident care.
• Manage nursing supplies utilization.
• Support the RAI-MDS program.
