Job summary

Oivan Group Oy is seeking a Database Administrator with 2–5 years of production DBA experience to manage enterprise-scale PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL/MariaDB, and SQL Server platforms. You will ensure high availability, back up and recover, and perform migrations and tuning while supporting client operations on site in the Gulf region.

The role requires strong English and Arabic communication, a Saudi national, and coordination with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, or related field.
2–5 years of DBA experience in production environments.
Saudi national required.
Strong experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MSSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, HA, replication, tuning, and migrations.
Experience with backup tools such as pgBackRest, PBM, Percona XtraBackup, and SQL Server native tools.
Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic.
Working hours: 13:00–21:00, Sunday to Thursday, Saudi Arabia time.
Ability to work within a cross-functional team and support client operations.

Responsibilities

Manage PostgreSQL/Patroni, MongoDB replica sets, MySQL/MariaDB, and SQL Server Always On.
Ensure high availability, replication, automated failover, backup, and disaster recovery.
Perform performance tuning, indexing, upgrades, migrations, and patching.
Implement security, access controls, auditing, and documentation.
Provide support on client site.
Participate in 24x7 on-call support and incident resolution.
