The Movement Coach is responsible for delivering exceptional fitness, movement, and wellness experiences that inspire guests to achieve their personal wellbeing goals. The role designs and delivers personalized fitness programs, private coaching sessions, group fitness classes, and holistic movement experiences while ensuring the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and guest engagement.

The Movement Coach serves as a Wellness Ambassador, promoting healthy lifestyles through functional movement, exercise, mobility, and recovery. The role also supports yoga, meditation, and mindfulness activities where qualified and collaborates closely with the Wellness & Spa team to create integrated wellness journeys in accordance with Rosewood Brand Standards, Forbes Five-Star Standards, and LQA requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Quality:

• Deliver exceptional fitness, movement, and wellness experiences that reflect Rosewood Brand Standards, Forbes Five-Star Standards, and LQA requirements.
• Conduct professional fitness consultations, lifestyle assessments, and movement evaluations to understand each guest's individual wellbeing goals.
• Design and deliver personalized exercise programs suitable for all fitness levels, abilities, and health conditions.
• Provide attentive coaching, motivation, and guidance while ensuring guest safety throughout every session.
• Build meaningful guest relationships through personalized service, genuine care, and professional expertise.
• Anticipate guest needs and provide thoughtful recommendations to enhance their overall wellness journey.
• Ensure every guest interaction reflects professionalism, warmth, and Relationship Hospitality.
• Deliver private personal training sessions, fitness assessments, and customized exercise programs.
• Conduct group fitness classes including functional training, circuit training, stretching, mobility, core conditioning, outdoor fitness, and wellness activities.
• Lead yoga, meditation, breathing exercises, or mindful movement sessions where appropriately certified.
• Ensure the Fitness Centre, movement studio, and outdoor wellness spaces are maintained in excellent condition and remain guest-ready at all times.
• Inspect fitness equipment daily to ensure safety, cleanliness, and operational readiness.
• Report maintenance issues and equipment defects promptly to Engineering.
• Maintain accurate records of guest consultations, fitness programs, and attendance where applicable.
• Support the planning and delivery of wellness events, retreats, visiting practitioner programs, and seasonal wellness experiences.
• Maintain a safe exercise environment by ensuring proper technique and modifying exercises where necessary.
• Collaborate with Spa Therapists to recommend integrated wellness experiences combining treatments, movement, and recovery.
• Recognize returning guests and personalize sessions based on previous preferences and progress.
• Handle guest enquiries and feedback professionally, ensuring concerns are resolved promptly.
• Work collaboratively with Spa Therapists, Wellness Concierge, Spa Attendants, and hotel departments to deliver seamless guest experiences.
• Participate actively in daily briefings, departmental meetings, and training sessions.
• Share guest preferences and wellness recommendations with the team to enhance personalized service.
• Support colleagues during busy operational periods and departmental activities.
• Maintain a positive, respectful, and collaborative working environment.
• Promote private training sessions, wellness experiences, fitness programs, and movement classes to maximize guest participation.
• Support departmental revenue through personalized fitness coaching and wellness consultations.
• Recommend wellness retail products that complement guests' fitness and wellbeing goals.
• Ensure accurate recording of private sessions and guest charges.
• Support departmental promotions, wellness packages, and special events.
• Assist in achieving departmental revenue and guest participation targets.
• Standard Responsibilities

Health & Safety

• Ensure all fitness activities are conducted safely and in accordance with established procedures.
• Monitor guests for safe exercise practices and modify programs when appropriate.

• Ensure compliance with all health, hygiene, and safety regulations.
• Report accidents, incidents, hazards, and equipment defects immediately.
• Maintain current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications.
