Job summary

Careermine is seeking a tyre technician for a mine site to assemble, install, test and maintain tyres for mobile equipment. The role requires careful handling of tyre equipment and adherence to safety protocols.

You will operate tyre handling equipment, perform prestart checks, log tyre data, and carry out tyre changes, rotations and minor repairs on large off-the-road tyres in demanding conditions. Supervision will be provided as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain tyres for all mobile equipment used on the mine site.
• Operate Tyre handling truck and forklift in a safe manner.
• Must perform prestart checks and perform minor repair work on your equipment.
• Perform daily inspections and pressure checks on Haul Truck fleet and record all related tyre information in the company’s tyre data base
• Perform Tyre Change outs, rotations and minor cut repairs on Large OTR tyres.
• Perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting, climbing, stretching and standing for long periods in extreme conditions, (Hot, Cold, and Dusty).

• Works under direct and indirect supervision.
