Job summary

Atkins Realis Group in Medina, Saudi Arabia, seeks a Senior MEP Design Lead to oversee the MEP design process across all project stages for hospitality and leisure schemes.

You will coordinate between architectural, structural and MEP teams, review drawings and calculations, manage external consultants, ensure local codes and BIM workflows, and support site implementation from design through construct.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred).
• 10-15 years of experience in MEP design and coordination, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale hospitality or leisure projects (hotels, resorts, entertainment venues).
• Previous PMC experience is a must.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, codes, and standards.
• Familiarity with BIM workflows and clash detection platforms (e.g., Navisworks).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the MEP design process across all project stages (concept through construction).
• Coordinate between architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines for integrated designs.
• Review and approve MEP design documents, calculations, specifications, and drawings for quality and compliance.
• Manage external MEP consultants and internal teams to meet project goals and timelines.
• Ensure designs comply with local codes, international standards, and sustainability requirements.
• Oversee design submissions, technical reports, and authority approvals.
• Facilitate design workshops, technical meetings, and value engineering sessions.
• Support procurement by providing technical input during tender reviews and supplier evaluations.
• Resolve technical issues during construction and provide site implementation support.
