Job summary

MSD is seeking an experienced Medical Affairs leader in Saudi Arabia to drive CMAPs and oversee a national TA portfolio. You will build a compliant, high-performing team and collaborate with global functions to align local strategies with global SOPs.

You will lead observational field initiatives with MSLs, manage budgets, and support health authority interactions. Saudi national candidates are prioritized for this leadership role.

Qualifications

• MD/PhD/PharmD with 3–5 years in clinical, Medical Affairs or research.
• Able to work cross-functionally with senior leaders.
• Strong project management and strategic initiative execution.
• Experience in Cardiovascular, COPD, Immunology areas.
• Saudi national is a priority.
• Proven leadership with people-management experience.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire and develop talent in the Medical Affairs team.
• Create a compliant, collaborative, and innovative work environment.
• Build a culture of quality and compliance through training and oversight.
• Develop CMAPs for the TA aligning with global strategy and SOPs.
• Manage TA portfolio balancing global and local priorities.
• Conduct observational field visits with MSLs to assess capability.
• Oversee CMAPs including post-licensure research and investigator-initiated studies.
• Manage TA budget and lifecycle activities.
• Support inspections and health authority inquiries.
• Ensure territories and data activities align with Medical Affairs Plan.
• Collaborate with GCD, GCTO and other internal stakeholders.
