Job summary

Atkins Realis Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Inspector to oversee inspections of mechanical installations on large-scale building projects. You will review IRs, verify materials, and ensure adherence to project requirements and safety standards.

Job description

Your role

Conduct inspections of mechanical installations to ensure compliance with approved drawings project specifications and applicable codes and standards

Review Inspection Requests IRs submitted by contractors and perform timely inspections

Verify that materials and equipment installed on site are approved and conform to project requirements

Monitor mechanical construction activities and identify quality issues defects or non-conformances

Ensure corrective actions are implemented and verified before work approval

Review contractor method statements and Inspection amp Test Plans ITPs related to mechanical works

Coordinate inspections with QA QC teams contractors consultants and project stakeholders

Maintain inspection records site reports punch lists and quality documentation

Verify installation of pumps chillers AHUs FCUs cooling towers ventilation systems generators interfaces and associated equipment

Inspect pipework installations supports insulation valves and mechanical accessories

Monitor compliance with health safety and environmental requirements during mechanical works

Participate in snagging de-snagging and handover inspections

Review as-built documentation and operation amp maintenance manuals

Report progress deficiencies and inspection findings to senior engineers and project management

Support testing commissioning and final acceptance activities

Assist in resolving site-related technical issues and construction discrepancies

Ensure all work is completed in accordance with approved quality procedures and contract requirements

About you

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Building Services Engineering or a related discipline

Certification in Mechanical Inspection or Quality Control is preferred

Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers SCE is an advantage ASHRAE CIBSE or relevant MEP certifications are desirable

Knowledge of testing and commissioning procedures is preferred 5 to 10 years of professional experience in mechanical inspection and construction supervision Minimum 3 years of experience on high-rise and large-scale building projects Previous Saudi Arabia or GCC experience is highly preferred Experience working with consultants PMCs contractors or developers Experience in construction testing commissioning and project handover activities Ability to interpret mechanical drawings shop drawings specifications and technical submittals Familiarity with inspection procedures testing protocols and construction quality standards
