Job summary

Dar Al Hekma University in Jeddah is seeking a seasoned Maintenance and Facilities Manager to oversee all campus infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical systems, BMS, safety equipment and energy initiatives.

You will supervise maintenance staff, coordinate with contractors, maintain logs, and develop policies to ensure safe, compliant and efficient operations across the facility. Strong leadership and regulatory knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance and facilities management.
• Experience supervising maintenance staff and coordinating with contractors.
• Strong knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance inspections, troubleshooting and repairs on HVAC systems, generators, elevators, electrical and BMS.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend asset lifespan.
• Test safety equipment including fire alarms, emergency lighting and fire suppression systems.
• Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers for specialized maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports and equipment logs.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to support uninterrupted operations.
• Supervise and train maintenance staff, and conduct annual performance evaluations.
• Develop and implement maintenance policies, procedures and schedules.
• Prepare operational and performance reports related to maintenance activities.
• Oversee daily departmental operations ensuring effective workflow and task prioritization.
• Implement energy-efficient maintenance practices and contribute to sustainability initiatives.
• Guide the implementation of risk management across DAH.
• Communicate key risk issues to the Departmental and Divisional Quality Assurance Committees and the Risk and Crisis Management Unit as needed.
• Report progress of risks to the Committees and Unit as needed.
• Allocate resources for risk management.
• Foster a positive risk-aware culture across DAH.
• Ensure new and emerging risks are identified, treated, monitored, reported, escalated and closed in line with DAH procedures.
• Ensure that risk control activities in the employee's area of responsibility are implemented.
• Ensure staff members are aware of expectations in relation to risk management by providing training.
