Job summary

A leading refinery company is seeking a Warehouse Material Controller to maintain inventory levels and assist in material management activities. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 2 years of related experience. Job description

PURPOSE OF WORK

To maintain a realistic Warehouse inventory stock levels to adequately satisfy the Samref operating requirement at minimum cost and assist the Purchasing Department with material orders.

REGULAR ASSIGNED DUTIES

1. Resolve purchase order and technical queries from purchasing department. Assist the purchasing department with the development of blanket purchase order agreements. Assist purchasing department to develop and improve vendor sourcing and reduce purchasing costs.
2. Able to read and understand technical drawings, especially Machinery spares parts (Pump, Rotors, Compressors ) and extensive knowledge of Refinery spare parts , PID’S and Data sheet.
3. Demonstrate team work through sharing, participating, assisting the group in work assignments. Assist and advise the Senior Material Controllers with material management activities. Assist Warehouse Receiving Section with material identification and conformity activities. Ensure that Warehouse TQMS requirements are being observed
4. Perform Material requirement planning activities and maintain accurate and relevant material master data in SAP. Review criticality relating to ABC Indicators, Insurance and Capital spares and update where required. Optimize the reordering parameters to ensure material availability and maintain the warehouse inventory value within the KPI targets.
5. Troubleshoot problem areas to ensure the smooth operation of material management activities. Liaise with end users, purchasing and finance & accounts departments to resolve any specific material related problems.

EDUCATION

Minimum of Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.

EXPERIENCES

Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
