Position Overview

The Market Systems for Employment Team Lead will provide technical leadership in off-farm non-agricultural sectors and employment interventions. The role involves designing, implementing, and managing strategies to increase productivity and employment opportunities for PSNP households, supervising staff, and collaborating with partners.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide technical leadership and ensure high-quality program design and implementation.
  2. Lead partnerships with private sector and civil society to expand employment opportunities.
  3. Support capacity building and ensure adherence to gender and safeguarding policies.
  4. Manage technical teams and supervise staff.
  5. Collaborate with government and stakeholders to improve market systems.
  6. Lead monitoring, evaluation, and learning efforts.
  7. Represent Mercy Corps at relevant forums and coordinate with partners.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Business, Economics, Agriculture, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • 5+ years experience in market development or employment programming.
  • Proven ability to assess markets and work with private sector partners.
  • Experience in managing teams and multiple stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English; local language skills preferred.
